Tenerife...Spanish Canary Island

So, I spent 6 days in Tenerife with 6 other exchange students....it was gorgeous and the weather was awesome! I got a chance to go scuba diving while I was there and saw huge stingrays for the first time while diving...we went to 87 feet. Here are a few pix:

Quick update

So.....the month of June I will be cracking down and studying for my exams and writing my paper on the economics of education in the US, Germany and Spain.... fun times.

On the 30th of June, I'm off to Madrid. Waleska flies out of Madrid on July 4th to go back to the states. On July 5th, I'll be off to Munich for my internship. My internship will be almost 3 months long. It is a Marketing/ Public Relations Internship with Venzero. Interested? Venzero.com for an idea of what the company does/ is. I'm looking forward to it very much!

So...I'll be in Munich for the beginning of Oktoberfest (starts sept 22) then I'll be returning to Coruna in time to start the semester on October 1. I will be in Coruna through January 2008. I'll be back in SD for Spring 08 semester.

Okay, so...long time no update yet again!

Let me expand on my job real quick: so for almost 2 months now I've been working as a promoter and party Coordinator/Organizer/ Planner. It's a cool job for a couple reasons: I am getting some more event planning experience....I get for fun work....I get to hang out with my friends as I work and I drink for free. It's a win win situation. It's also great for my spanish....as is this whole experience. My boss is the owner of the club. The promoters who I work with are italian and polish.

So....this last weekend Waleska and I spent in Rome! It was unbelievable. The city is absolutely gorgeous. In two and a half days...I saw the Pope speak from the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican city, the Pantheon (25BC!), the Colosseum (72 AD), Roman ruins, the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain, St. Peter's Basilica. It was incredible. We were out walking literally 11 hours the first day with a few stops to get something to eat. That was definitely the most walking I've ever done in 2 days! Not only was there a ton to see, but the best coffee, ice cream and pizza I've ever had was also in Rome. Unbelievable.....I highly recommend Rome as a travel destination!
